Do you know about the island of death?
In 1348, some patients had to go to an island known as Poveglia in Italy. They mostly used it for dumping bodies that were close to die or had died. In a month more than 10,000 people had lost their lives either dying slowly or if they were to sick to move they would be burnt.

One of the reasons why the plague spread was fleas. In 3 weeks, one flea can pass through it’s entire life cycle and can lay 1000 eggs. In another 3 weeks, those eggs can hatch and lay 1,000 eggs each, so within 6 weeks, it is possible to have a million new fleas
